Everything is falling into place

Hiya folks,

last Tuesday my daughter Marni Rae was born.
I promised myself I wouldn’t write a terrible song about “seeing the world through a child’s eyes” or any of that crap.

So I hope this one isn’t terrible.

Here are the lyrics. Not too mushy, I hope.

Falling Into Place

I never used to have no kinda luck
no one ever used to know my name

I never used to make a decent buck

Used to think my life is but a shame

But I gave up on running in the race
I gave up on struggling through the maze
and everything is falling

everything is falling
everything is falling into place

I used to think too much was not enough
what my neighbor had was that for which I yearned
I didn’t know a damn thing about love
till I fell hard, I stood up and I learned

I’m no longer thrilled by the chase
I’m no longer stumbling through the haze

and everything is falling

everything is falling
everything is falling into place

Talk about a change of priorities
I found a brand new set of rules to set me free

Every step along the way has led me here to see
and it sure looks like the good Lord’s got a plan for me

Tonight I hold my daughter in my arms
in her smile I see you and I see me

We’re only little specks beneath the stars

But it sure feels like I’m right here where I need to be

I’m just gonna play it as it lays

I believe ahead are better days
when everything is falling, everything is falling
everything is falling into place

Feel free to comment.
Thanks for listening,
Markus
